Gochugaru

Gochugaru is a Korean chilli powder or flake, made primarily from sun dried red peppers known as taeyangcho, the same used to create Gochujang. The heat and coarseness of Gochugaru varies but it is an essential ingredient in Korean cooking used in kimchi, hearty stews and even cold salads to add a smokey kick to dishes.
